The Mughal Empire, which ruled India for over three centuries, was established after the First Battle of Panipat. From the Mansabdari, the Jabati revenue system, Sulah-i-Kul and Din-i-Ilahi to great monuments like the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort, the empire collapsed in 1857 due to invasions, internal conflicts and rising regional powers.
