Virtual reality is a 3D digital experience that helps to make objects displayed in front of the eyes feel real. This stimulated experience created with computer technology can be both similar to and different from the real world. It is a simulated experience that gives the user an immersive feeling of a virtual world through pose tracking and three-dimensional display. Virtual reality (VR) is a computer-generated, three-dimensional environment that creates a realistic visual and auditory experience for users. It displays different images and gives a sense of depth and space through specialized hardware, including a headset with a screen for the eyes and speakers for the ears. Special controllers located in it allow users to move around and manipulate objects in the virtual space, immersing them in a simulated world.

Famous computer scientist Ivan Sutherland invented the first head-mounted display system, the Sword of Damocles, in 1968.

2.       Semi-immersive - This type uses large projection screens, multiple monitors, or a full-room setup to immerse the user more deeply, which provides a more engaging experience than non-immersive VR but is less complete than full immersion.

3.       Fully immersive - This method uses standard peripherals (HMD) such as a mouse and keyboard to provide the most realistic and complete virtual experience. This sometimes requires motion sensors, body connectors, gloves, or haptic feedback devices to track movement and create a sense of presence.

Virtual reality (VR) uses a headset equipped with dual screens and lenses. It creates an immersive 3D environment by displaying slightly different images to each eye, giving a natural sense of depth. Motion-tracking sensors such as gyroscopes and accelerometers detect head and body movements, updating visuals instantly so that the virtual world moves with the user. Handheld controllers or other input devices allow interaction with virtual objects.

A connected computer or built-in processor creates the 3D environment, while spatial or binaural audio enhances the reality by giving the user a sense of direction. Some advanced systems also include haptic feedback through gloves or suits, allowing users to "feel" the virtual interaction.
